Find La Mesa's Cheapest Gas As Prices Drop Across San Diego County

LA MESA, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Thursday to its lowest amount since Oct. 25, 2021, decreasing 3.1 cents to $4.508.
La Mesa's cheapest places to buy gasoline in San Diego County, according to recent GasBuddy reports, was the Costco Gas Station on Fletcher Parkway, selling self-serve regular unleaded gasoline at $3.95 per gallon, the crowdsourced gas price app reported.
The average price has dropped 34 consecutive days, decreasing 99.7 cents, including 2.8 cents Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has fallen 67 times in 71 days since rising to a record $6.435 on Oct. 5, decreasing $1.927.

The average price is 16 cents less than one week ago, 95.9 cents lower than one month ago and 12 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price dropped for the 36th consecutive day, falling 2.1 cents to $3.193, 13.6 cents less than one week ago, 56.6 cents lower than one month ago and 12.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

The national average price has dropped 61.3 cents over the past 36 days, including 3.1 cents Wednesday. It is $1.823 lower than the record $5.016 set June 14.
The lower prices are "saving Americans roughly $20 per fill-up compared to six months ago," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
