Girls on the Run Begins 25th Season in San Diego County

The fun character-development program starts in mid-February and registration opens January 1st!

Girls on the Run San Diego, a 501(c)3 non profit organization, is excited to start the 25th season of their character development program for adolescent girls throughout San Diego County!

Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities, and running games. Over the course of the 10-week season, girls in 3rd-8th grades develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k event.

Since 2006, Girls on the Run San Diego has served more than 7,000 girls throughout San Diego County. Thanks to the generous support of donors, Girls on the Run is open to all girls, regardless of financial situation.
