The Grossmont Healthcare District, Sharp Grossmont Hospital and Grossmont Center were sponsors of the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Healthcare Saturday on June 28 at the Grossmont Center mall in La Mesa. The event is billed as the largest annual free health fair in San Diego’s East County region. Exhibit booths featured health screenings for stroke, blood pressure and blood glucose/diabetes, as well as the latest information on health-related techniques and products. Information also was available about senior housing and home care services, hospice, home safety, fitness centers, health insurance, herbal supplements, medical supplies and volunteer opportunities.
