HGH's Pro-Am Golf Classic Tournament on Friday, Sept. 26 at Sycuan pairs amateurs with PGA pro.
The Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) ), an El Cajon-based non-profit organization that provides services, training and advocacy for people with developmental disabilities, will host its 32nd annual Pro-Am Golf Classic Tournament starting at 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, at Sycuan Golf & Tennis Resort, 3007 Dehesa Road in El Cajon.
Donation to play golf begins at $200 per player, which includes giveaway item, cart, tee prizes, lunch, dinner and beverages. Amateurs will play with a PGA professional. This year’s top sponsors include the Bill and Norma Verbeck Foundation as presenting sponsors and The Kerr Family Foundation sponsoring the Green Fees. The pros will be competing for a purse of $5,000 donated by the Carlson family. The winning team will represent HGH in another tournament and earn an opportunity for HGH to receive a $10,000 donation.
The tournament also will include putting contest, on-course lunch, course contests, silent auction, buffet dinner and awards. For more event information, contact Pamela Starmack, HGH Fund Development Associate, at (619) 938-2855, or Pamela@guidinghands.org.
