- Sheriff's officials were investigating the death of a female inmate who was found unresponsive at Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee and was later pronounced dead at a hospital, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. (City News Service)
- The pandemic has changed our eating habits — and not necessarily for the better, a new poll reports. While many parents say their families have eaten healthier since the start of the pandemic, nearly 1 in 5 report their children have eaten fast food more often, according to C.S. - Authorities publicly identified a mother and child who died last weekend in a fall from a third-floor concourse at Petco Park just prior to a San Diego Padres game. Raquel Wilkins, 40, and 2-year-old Denzel Browning-Wilkins died shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday on the sidewalk where they landed in the 200 bock of Tony Gwynn Way, on the west side of the downtown ballpark, according to police.
