Saturday has been designated ” by the City of La Mesa. With the intent of encouraging residents to live well and lead healthy, active lifestyles, La Mesa is inviting families to come down to La Mesita Park this weekend for some athletic adventures.

Play day is a chance for East County residents to see what “10 and Under Tennis” is all about. The children’s program, supported by the United States Tennis Assocation, focuses on teaching kids to play tennis quickly while keeping things enjoyable and rewarding. The tennis equipment is tailored for kids “10 and under” to make playing easier—rackets are smaller, court sizes are adjusted, etc. The goal of the program is for youth to develop a passion and appreciation for tennis that will last for life.
