La Mesa Aims To Keep City Litter-Free This Saturday

On April 8, the City of La Mesa and I Love A Clean San Diego started a city-wide cleanup project. Here's how to join in.

LA MESA, CA – La Mesa residents are invited to join a neighborhood cleanup over 1.5 miles from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8. Participants should meet at La Mesa City Hall Parking Lot at 8130 Allison Avenue before 9 a.m.

Keeping the streets clean is what Litter Free La Mesa is all about. They are hosting the event and plan to cover 1.5 miles of the city, providing bins for collected refuse.

"The cleanup is focused on La Mesa Downtown Village and Neighborhood as part of our new Litter Free La Mesa Series," an event spokesperson wrote. "We will divert litter from traveling to the Pacific Ocean." It's all a celebration of Earth Month, in coordinated efforts with I Love A Clean San Diego and the City of La Mesa.
