La Mesa Police Department Seeks Community Input On Services

The community sessions are part of a comprehensive study that aims to enhance the department's operational efficiency and responsiveness.

LA MESA, CA — The La Mesa Police Department wants to hear from residents.

The department, along with Citygate Associates LLC, is hosting two community input sessions in September to pinpoint areas for improvement in police services. The department also hopes to "foster a stronger bond with the community."

The community sessions are part of a comprehensive study that aims to enhance the department's operational efficiency and responsiveness.

"This study will provide valuable insights into our police staffing requirements, ensuring a safe environment and exceptional customer service," the department said in an announcement.

The first session is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 7 and the second session is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 9. Both sessions will take place at the police department's community room at 8085 University Ave. in La Mesa.
