Man Arrested After 3 Women Assaulted At Spring Valley Independent Living Facility
Three women, ages 80, 73 and 62, were taken to a hospital after the assault, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
SPRING VALLEY, CA — A 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and other charges after three women were assaulted at an independent living facility in East County, authorities said.
Deputies responded shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 8100 block of Cacus Street in Spring Valley, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said Gregory Wilkerson, 62, assaulted three fellow residents, ages 80, 73 and 62. All three women were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not disclosed.

The sheriff's Elder Abuse Unit took over the investigation.
Wilkerson was arrested on suspicion of two counts each of attempted murder and elder abuse, as well as committing a felony while out on bail and resisting an officer. He was booked into San Diego Central Jail.

Authorities did not disclose what weapon was allegedly used or provide details about what led to the assaults.
