Man Mortally Wounded In East County Shooting
A man was found with gunshot wounds to his upper body in Spring Valley, authorities said. He later died at a hospital.

SPRING VALLEY, CA — Authorities were searching for a shooting suspect Wednesday after a man was mortally wounded in eastern San Diego County.
A 32-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to his upper body around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday near Jamacha Boulevard and Thayer Drive in Spring Valley, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The man was taken to a hospital where he died due to his injuries.
Few details were released about the shooting. The name of the victim was withheld due to the investigation, according to the sheriff's department. There was no suspect information.
