Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In La Mesa ID'd

LA MESA, CA — Authorities on Wednesday publicly identified a pedestrian that was killed in a hit-and-run crash last week in La Mesa.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Friday, a man walking in the third lane of eastbound state Route 94, east of Spring Street, was struck by an unknown vehicle driving eastbound on the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle fled eastbound on SR-94, CHP officer Jared Grieshaber said.
