Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash On SR-94 In East County

SPRING VALLEY, CA — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash last week in Spring Valley, authorities said Monday.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Friday, a man walking in the third lane of eastbound state Route 94, east of Spring Street, was struck by an unknown vehicle driving eastbound on the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle fled eastbound on SR-94, CHP officer Jared Grieshaber said. The pedestrian died at the scene. His identity was not released.
