Mayor Buckhorn Enlists Tampa in Water Conservation Challenge

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn has enlised Tampa in the National Mayor's Challenge for water conservation, as part of a nationwide effort to recognize Earth Month during the month of April.
Presented by the Wyland Foundation, the National Mayors Challenge is in its third year and has receivedrecognition from Mayors in big cities across the country. Each year the challenge aims to help residents conserve water and reduce pollution overall.



Residents can make pledges online and teachers working with their students can find educational tools at www.mywaterpledge.com/students. Pledges are important because the city with the most pledges is eligible to win prizes, including a Toyota Prius Plug-in for one lucky resident.
