Minor-Leaguer in Lake Murray League Swats Inside-the-Park Homer
A's teammates congratulate their big bomber—who also pitched most of the game. Leagues skip next week with local schools on spring break.
An inside-the-park home run highlighted Lake Murray Little League action Wednesday afternoon at Sunset Park’s David Madrid Field. A member of the A’s, the pitcher in fact, was mobbed by teammates after his dinger in minor-league play against the Pirates. In the fifth inning, the score was 9-4 with the A’s leading. Because of spring vacation in the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District all Little Leagues will be dark next week, with no games scheduled.
