Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crash On I-8 In La Mesa

LA MESA, CA – A motorcyclist was hospitalized Monday following a crash on Interstate 8 in La Mesa.

Dispatchers received reports shortly after 7:45 a.m. of a crash involving a motorcycle and a Lexus on westbound I-8, east of Baltimore Drive, California Highway Patrol Officer Tommy Doerr said.

The motorcyclist slid across all westbound highway lanes and collided with a Lexus, according to a CHP incident log.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, Doerr said. The extent of the victim's injuries was not immediately available.

CHP officers were investigating the circumstances of the crash.
