Power Outage Affecting Hundreds In Mount Helix

MOUNT HELIX, CA – About 35,000 homes and business across San Diego County are without power Friday due to storm-related utility equipment problems, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.

Among the outages, SDG&E is reporting on its outage map that 1,657 customers in and around Mount Helix are without power. The outage started at 1:26 p.m., affecting customers in Mount Helix, Casa De Oro and Rancho San Diego. SDG&E estimates the power will be restored by about 4 p.m.

The cause of the outage is being assessed. No other information is currently available.
