Reading Series to Include Established and Emerging Authors

EL CAJON -- The Grossmont College community will be treated to a variety of literary events during the college¹s Fall 2013 Reading Series to be held on campus throughout the semester. The Reading Series, sponsored by the Creative Writing Program, will feature award-winning authors as well as showcase talent from the campus and the community.

The following events are scheduled:

Wednesday, September 25: Flash Fiction Mob featuring author and San Diego Mesa College Professor Bonnie ZoBell and the winners of the Creative Writing Program's Flash Fiction Contest,  Griffin Gate, 7 p.m.

Thursday, September 26: Celebration of Banned Books Reading, Griffin Gate, 7 p.m.

Tuesday, October 22: Lester Bangs Memorial Reading featuring the World Premiere of A Box Full of Rocks: The El Cajon Years of Lester Bangs, Room 220, 7 p.m..

Thursday, November 14: An Evening With Poet Joseph Voth, author of the critically acclaimed collection of poetry Living With Noise, Griffin Gate, 7 p.m.

Monday, December 2: New Voices Student Reading featuring the original work of Grossmont College creative writing students, Griffin Gate, 7 p.m.
