The College of Extended Studies at SDSU offers an online Master of Arts in Learning Design and Technology (LDT) which prepares students to become information technologists who can evaluate performance problems and design, develop and evaluate instructional strategies, programs and products.

Enrollees graduate with an e-portfolio of video, interactive learning programs, instructional print and online materials they create. Required courses in the 30-credit hour program include courses of the core program (9), Methods of Inquiry (3), two Practicum (6) and electives (12).

• Exploratory Learning Through Simulation and Games
• Management of Educational Technology

The Master of Arts in Learning and Design Technology program at SDSU helps students to prepare for careers as instructional technologists, educational specialists, instructional designers, trainers, and performance consultants. Students graduate with an electronic portfolio that includes video, interactive learning programs, instructional print, and online materials.
The SDSU Department of Learning Design & Technology (formerly Educational Technology) offers a master’s degree, seminars, an undergraduate minor, and certificates in instructional technology and instructional design. These programs are available on campus and online.


SDSU’s College of Extended Studies reaches out to the greater San Diego community, the nation, and the world through a wide variety of lifelong learning classes, seminars, and certificate programs.
