1. A minor decoy tried to buy alcohol at five stores in Santee and Lakeside, but was refused by all clerks and customers, sheriff's officials said. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department teamed up with Alcohol Beverage Control agents to conduct a decoy operation to test retailers at five stores in the two cities, according to the sheriff's department. The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority announced the launch of the San Diego Flyer, a free electric shuttle bus service between San Diego International Airport and Old Town Transit Center. The buses will operate every day, with an arrival every 20 to 30 minutes on average. (City News Service)
3. A spell of hot, dry weather and strong Santa Ana winds will intensify wildfire hazards in eastern San Diego County over the Thanksgiving holiday period, forecasters said. Due to the combustion dangers posed by the gusty, arid and unseasonably toasty conditions, the National Weather Service issued a fire weather watch, effective from early Thursday morning through late Friday afternoon in the local mountains and inland valleys.
