Ever wonder what it’s like to be a minister? To be “called” and on call 24/7? To live life under a microscope? To deal with the challenges of the job? To celebrate its joys?
Here’s your chance to find out, to ask questions, to ponder the story, adventures, trials and rewards of someone who’s been there, done that and is still proud to wear the t-shirt (and the collar).
At 2:00pm on Sunday, May 4, 2014, the Rev. Martin Copenhaver, pastor, President-elect of Andover-Newton Theological Seminary and award-winning author of books on the Christian faith and life, among them (with the Rev. Lillian Daniel) This Odd and Wondrous Calling: The Public and Private Lives of Two Ministers, will take an up close and personal look at “A Life of Service.” The conversation will take place in the sanctuary of the United Church of Christ of La Mesa (UCCLM), 5940 Kelton Avenue, La Mesa, CA 91942 (619-464-1519, www.ucclm.org).
