Victim Of Fatal East County Shooting ID'd
The circumstances and motivations for the shooting in Spring Valley are still under investigation, sheriff's Lt. Chris Steffen said.

SPRING VALLEY, CA — Authorities Monday released the name of a man who was fatally shot two weeks ago in eastern San Diego County.
Jorkim Rose, 32, was found with gunshot wounds to his upper body around 9:30 p.m. Aug. 16 near Jamacha Boulevard and Thayer Drive in Spring Valley, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Paramedics took Rose to a hospital, where he died due to his injuries.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy.

"The preliminary cause of his death is multiple gunshot wounds and manner of death is homicide," sheriff's Lt. Chris Steffen said. "The circumstances and motivations are still under investigation. There is no suspect information at this time."
