View From The Top Of Mount Helix: Photo Of The Day

MOUNT HELIX, CA — Patch reader Megan Herlihy-Williams captured this photo of the view from the top of Mount Helix. She explained why the area is so special to her and her family.

"Mt. Helix is very special to our family," Herlihy-Williams said. "My Mom graduated from Grossmont High School in 1951. She was the last graduating class to have their ceremony at the top of Mt. Helix. The graduating classes were getting too big.

"My husband and I were married in 1984 on top of Mt. Helix," she added. "My daughter and son in-law were married this June 2023 on Mt. Helix. It's a very special and beautiful gem."
