Walk Northmont’s Way: Governor’s Council to Present $10,000 to PTA
Elementary School will be paid a visit from Jerry Brown's rep after International Walk to School Day.
Northmont Elementary has a busy schedule Wednesday morning.
Besides International Walk to School Day on Oct. 5—they’ll walk from Northmont Park to campus—students and staff also will get a visit from Gov. Jerry Brown’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
In a 15-minute assembly slated to take place at 10:30 a.m., Northmont’s PTA will be presented a $10,000 check in recognition of having won as statewide Parent Association of the Year.

Belcher says one of the reasons their school got the attention it did was because of an “eye-catching” ballroom dance program they offer.
