These are the words, the visions, the hopes of the Rev. Kelly Ryan, who will assume the pulpit of The Table: United Church of Christ of La Mesa (UCCLM) on Sunday, August 12, 2018.
Coming to La Mesa from White Salmon, Washington, where she served as pastor of Bethel Congregational Church, Kelly is an avid hiker, yoga enthusiast, singer and reader (“I’m really into Octavia Butler’s works at the moment”). She and her hospice chaplain husband, Escondido native Jason Guy, look forward to getting to know and working with the people of their new community and church. “The table,” she notes, “is a place where stories are shared, where relationships are strengthened, where everyone is welcome.”
