Woman Breaks Into La Mesa Home, Jumps Off Roof
A woman was hospitalized after she allegedly broke into a La Mesa home, grabbed a knife and jumped off the home's roof when police arrived.
LA MESA, CA — A woman was hospitalized Friday morning after she allegedly broke into a La Mesa home and grabbed a knife, then jumped off the home's roof when police arrived.
The bizarre incident happened around 4 a.m. at a two-story home in the 9500 block of Milden Street, north of Interstate 8, according to La Mesa police.
The home's residents heard the woman breaking into a work truck on the property, then when one of the residents went outside to check on the truck the woman entered through the front door and grabbed a knife from somewhere, 10News reported.

Police responded and found that the woman had climbed onto the roof of the home.
Officers attempted to talk to the woman, but she jumped from the roof and landed in front of the house, the news station reported. She was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
