Youth Swim Lesson Registration Opens For La Mesa Municipal Pool

La Mesa residents can sign up to learn water safety for children aged 2-years and up.

LA MESA, CA — Youth swim lessons are open for classes at the La Mesa Municipal Pool & Spa. Classes start in April with weekday and Saturday class times available.

"Learning how to swim and being water safe is a valuable life skill for everyone," a city official wrote on the La Mesa facebook page.

Classes are designated by age and/or skill level, and area available for online registration at cityoflamesa.us.

  • Starbabies & StarTots 6 months – 2 years
  • Preschool Swim School 3 years – 5 years
  • Youth Swim School 6 years – 13 years
  • Stroke Swim School 6 years – 13 years

Students must pass safety benchmark skills before starting classes. Adapted Aquatics are available for all ages, and one-on-one instruction is available for those with special needs.

Other monthly programs include youth swim teams, youth water polo, adult water exercise, and adult/teen group lessons.

Registration is currently open for March programs at cityoflamesa.us/register.

Registration for April and May classes will open on March 15.
