2 Felons Arrested For Lafayette Burglary

A homeowner returned home to find the burglars inside.

LAMORINDA, CA — Two people on parole and probation for charges including robbery, stolen property and illegal possession of a firearm were arrested earlier this month for allegedly burglarizing a Lafayette home.

The robbery was reported on April 3 when a resident returned to their home on Glenside Drive. A suspicious vehicle was parked out front and the home's door had been kicked in.

The homeowner stayed a safe distance away and called police, providing information about the home and the suspicious vehicle.

According to Moraga Police, "They observed a second suspect run out of the home and get into the vehicle, which then sped away. Officers waited on St. Mary’s Road and saw the vehicle drive into Moraga."

Police there tried to stop the car, but the driver refused to pull over. Officers pursued the vehicle onto Pinehurst Road, where it crashed near the Canyon Post Office.
