Academic Performance Scores Released - Local Schools Remain On Top

Much-anticipated release of 2010 Academic Performance Index (API) scores once again name the Acalanes Union High School District as the top performing school district in the state.

AUHSD Superintendent John Stockton called the new data "affirmation of the Acalanes Union High School District's commitment to continuous progress.  The AUHSD API rose two points to a composite 899 performance level."

Stockton said that while there are still "several areas for growth" where the District will continue to seek improvement, this year's results were "exceptionally gratifying." 

The California Department of Education calls the API report "the cornerstone of California's Public Schools Accountability Act of 1999." The index measures the academic performance and growth of schools on a variety of academic measures.
