LAMORINDA — ICE agents arrested an individual in Orinda today during a targeted operation involving a criminal arrest warrant, city officials confirmed.
A member of the public notified city officials about the arrest.
City officials then contacted the San Francisco Office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which confirmed that federal agents had targeted the individual.
Based on information federal officials provided, the announcement sent by the city described the arrest as tied to a criminal warrant and reported no ongoing ICE enforcement activities in Orinda.
Officials did not include details about whether the person was released or is in ICE custody still, or where federal authorities took the individual.
