Another Pizza My Heart - Patxi's Grand Opening Wednesday
Lamorindans have already been dining - and giving heady reviews - to Lafayette's latest entry in the local Pizza Wars, but the folks at Patxi's will be holding their Grand Opening Wednesday evening.
Deep-dish pizza lovers have already located in Lafayette and a devoted following appears to be in place but the restaurant's ownership wanted to share a little city-wide love during a Grand Opening celebration Wednesday.
There'll be a public ribbon cutting, local personalities (yes, your editor will be there), and samples of the deep dish foodstuff for which the restaurant is known. Festivities kick off at 5 p.m.

Patxi's (3577 Mt. Diablo Blvd.) opens at 7 a.m. and will be serving breakfast (no, not pizza) to early birds who like to take their coffee and morning bun out on the patio. The restaurant also has a full bar offering for those who cannot get along solely on a good Merlot.
