Assistance League Thrift Shop’s Sterling & Silver Plate Event Returns

The innovative member volunteers at Assistance League® Thrift Shop, located next to the Park Theater in Lafayette, invite you to attend the Silver and Silver Plate Event, which begins Tuesday, October 24th, at 10 am and concludes Saturday, October 28, at 4 pm. This year’s event focuses more on silver plate items, but the sterling silver items certainly deserves your consideration. Please note that silverware flatware will be available Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28.

Your table, mantle and entry will virtually glisten with a few carefully chosen treasures. Inventory includes, but is not limited to, salt and pepper shakers, cream and sugar sets, goblets, coffee pots, bread trays, pedestal serving trays, dinner roll baskets, pairs of candlestick holders, Revere Bowls in various sizes, shallow serving dishes, gravy boats, covered casserole dishes, small side dishes, flatware sets and trivets.

Likewise, in furthering the holiday spirit, you might find that perfect hostess gift for someone who shares your taste when celebrating special occasions. You might find that some of the items could serve other purposes. A shining tray designated to hold incoming holiday greeting cards comes to mind. Likewise, candlelight dancing on a silver plate adds grace to any holiday setting.
