Author Jeffrey Rosen Joins '250' Zoom Town Hall Today With Contra Costa Congressman
Rosen, Contra Costa congressman DeSaulnier discuss U.S. founding, constitutional democracy, and civil liberties during a virtual town today.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Rep. Mark DeSaulnier will host a virtual town hall today with constitutional scholar Jeffrey Rosen as the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The “Virtual America 250 Town Hall” will run from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Zoom and will stream on YouTube.
DeSaulnier, who represents California’s 10th Congressional District, and Rosen will discuss America’s founding, the evolution of constitutional democracy, and the nation’s progress since independence. They will also answer questions from participants.

In the June 2, California primary, DeSaulnier led the CA-10 race by a wide margin and appears headed to the November general election.
Rosen is a New York Times bestselling author, a law professor at George Washington University, a contributing editor at The Atlantic, and the president and CEO of the National Constitution Center. He has written extensively about the Constitution, the Supreme Court, free speech, civil liberties, and the responsibilities of citizenship in a constitutional democracy.
