Watch For Bay Bridge Delays This Morning

BAY AREA, CA — An accident on the Bay Bridge backed up morning traffic, bringing the Friday morning commute to a stand still.

A motorcycle crash at about 5:45 a.m. created ripple effects well past the toll booth.

The crash is being cleared now. But commuters should try to use alternative routes, avoiding the Bay Bridge, if possible, until traffic on the roadways is flowing again.

That appears to be happening slowly.

As of 6:04 a.m., CHP reported the traffic collision with injuries on westbound I-80 west of Treasure Island Road in San Francisco.
