Fog, Traffic And Bart Delays Cause Commuting Headaches

BART service delays are causing headaches for commuters. If you drive, watch for fog and stop-and-go traffic.

BAY AREA, CA — Commuters today are seeing delays on BART and slow traffic caused by thick fog, roadwork, and accidents.

The Green and Red line on BART has been restored. There is now direct train service between Berryessa and Daly City, and Millbrae to Richmond.

And BART service has resumed between West Oakland and 24th St. Mission in San Francisco.

But riders should expect major delays systemwide until further notice as service is re-established.

However, fog, accidents, and roadwork are slowing the commute on Bay Area roadways. Drivers should expect stop-and-go traffic.

Roadwork on CA-29 Southbound at Rutherford Road in Napa is also slowing traffic. The lane will be closed.

Emergency construction is slowing traffic on CA-116 eastbound at Cazadero Hwy near Duncans Mills. The lane is closed and traffic is being diverted into one-way at a time.

Roadwork on CA-24 Westbound at Acalanes Road in Lafayette is slowing traffic as well. The lane will be closed until 3 p.m.

A traffic hazard on I-580 Westbound east of CA-24 W in Oakland is affecting the right lane.. Expect delays, according to Caltrans.
