Bicyclist Killed By Hit-And-Run Big Rig In Lafayette

LAMORINDA, CA — A bicyclist was killed Thursday afternoon when he was struck by a hit-and-run big rig truck on Reliez Valley Road in Lafayette, according to police. The truck and driver were later located.

The crash was reported at 12:28 p.m., Lafayette Police say in a written release. Firefighters and ambulance personnel treated him at the scene, and he was transported to John Muir Medical Center, where

he was later pronounced dead.

The victim's name and age have not been released.

Lafayette Police say the investigation continues.
