Caldecott Tunnel Closed By Road Rage Shooting
The shooting caused a traffic nightmare during the Thursday evening commute.

LAMORINDA, CA — Eastbound traffic backed up for miles Thursday when the California Highway Patrol closed the right bore of the Caldecott Tunnel following a car-to-car road rage shooting.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic was shut down from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

The CHP received a call about the road rage around 3:30. Responding officers found the victim parked on the right shoulder. "The victim vehicle sustained multiple bullet strikes," the CHP reports.
