The Youth Ambassadors Program "YAP" encouraged by the Lamorinda Arts Council and the California Writers Club, Mt. Diablo Branch, invites artsy youth aged 13 to 18 to submit work with the theme “Words We Avoid” to the free “Re:Imagine Literary” 2026 Spring Publication. We are accepting art, photography and writing; deadline is SUNDAY MAY 31, 11:59PM!
Immerse yourself in a world of poetry, prose, visual arts, photography and creative writing. At Re:Imagine Lit, we dare each other to dream – to think beyond the grounded. By submitting online using the QR code you are automatically registered for our free Youth Live Open Mic also on Sunday May 31 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Please let us know if you will attend.
We invite you to read from your work or display your artwork (easel provided) on May 31, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chicken Pot Pie Shop, 1251 Arroyo Way, Walnut Creek.

Dinner with neighbors you just haven’t met yet.
Lamorinda Dinner Club brings together small groups of six for curated dinners at local restaurants. It’s a relaxed, intimate setting designed for real conversation and genuine connection.
Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here for years, it’s a chance to share a great meal and meet interesting people nearby.
The restaurant is revealed the morning of the event. After dinner, you’re welcome to join an optional casual after-gathering.
Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Marie-Claire Saindon’s satirical flat earth exposes the absurdities of fake news and “alternative facts,” playfully questioning the reliability of our senses in a post-truth era.
