Central San Welcomes New Deputy General Manager

Ann Sasaki will also run the operations department at Central Contra Costa Sanitary District.

The Central Contra Costa Sanitary District has hired Ann Sasaki to be its new Deputy General Manager. She is also in charge of Operations, the District’s largest department.

Before joining Central San, Ann was the Assistant Director for the City of San Diego Public Utilities Department.

She is a registered professional engineer, has a BS in civil engineering from California State University-Long Beach, and an MBA from the University of San Diego.

Central San’s General Manager, Roger Bailey, is pleased that Ann has joined the Central San team and confident that hiring her will benefit the District and its customers.

“Ann comes to us with amazing credentials and accomplishments,” he said. “We have a lot of talented individuals here at the District, and I am sure that Ann, who is a proven leader, will help us continue moving forward while providing exceptional customer service.”

The Central Contra Costa Sanitary District is a special district with approximately 260 employees and a five-member elected Board of Directors. Its mission is to protect public health and the environment through safe and effective wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal. It also operates a household hazardous waste collection facility, provides recycled water for landscape irrigation, and promotes pollution prevention through various educational, informational and inspection programs. It serves approximately 471,000 residential and business customers in the central county area.
