Contra Costa Health Services urges everyone to continue taking simple steps to protect themselves from COVID-19.

Last week, Contra Costa County announced new closures of several additional activities due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, along with new statewide closures announced by Governor Gavin Newsom last Monday.

At this time, the following businesses and activities have been suspended in Contra Costa County:
- Indoor religious services (outdoor religious services are permitted, within guidelines)
- Indoor protests (outdoor protests are permitted, within guidelines)
- Indoor and outdoor bars, brewpubs, breweries, and pubs
- Offices for non-essential sectors (as determined by the State of California)
- Hair salons and barbershops
- Indoor malls (can be modified for outdoor pickup)
