City Of Orinda Coronavirus Update - July 20, 2020

July 20, 2020

Last week, Contra Costa County announced new closures of several additional activities due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, along with new statewide closures announced by Governor Gavin Newsom last Monday.

At this time, the following businesses and activities have been suspended in Contra Costa County:

• Indoor religious services (outdoor religious services are permitted, within guidelines)
• Indoor protests (outdoor protests are permitted, within guidelines)
• Indoor and outdoor bars, brewpubs, breweries, and pubs
• Offices for non-essential sectors (as determined by the State of California)
• Hair salons and barbershops
• Indoor malls (can be modified for outdoor pickup)

Contra Costa Health Services urges everyone to continue taking simple steps to protect themselves from COVID-19: follow the social distancing order, and wear a face covering when you leave home or when you are near other people. Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently, and always stay home if you are not feeling well.
