Crews Respond To Overturned Truck Ablaze on Hillside in Lafayette

Fire and rescue crews are at the scene of a large overturned truck on fire on a Lafayette hillside this morning, according to police.

The truck rolled down a hillside off of Camellia Lane a short time after 11 a.m., according to police. Information about possible injuries suffered in the crash was not immediately available from police.

Fire crews were initially called to respond to a grass fire but arrived to find that the vehicle fire hadn’t spread to the surrounding vegetation, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher.
