Deadline Today for Orinda Architecture, Landscape, and Sustainability Award

Orinda Mayor Thomas T. McCormick invited the public to submit examples of progressive architecture in town.

Today is the final day of submissions for Orinda Mayor Thomas McCormick's 2010 Award for Excellence in Architecture, Landscape and Environmental Sustainability.

McCormick invited the public to submit nominations for the award, which recognizes outstanding local projects in each of the three categories. The contest is an annual event that acknowledges outstanding projects and gives architects, designers and property owners the opportunity to showcase their projects.

The City Clerk's office will be accepting nominations until 5 pm today, and Lamorinda Patch will be printing pictures of the winning projects once they are determined.
