Police Investigate Theft Case - Need Your Help in Identifying Person

On Saturday at about 11:30 AM, a woman went to have lunch at a restaurant in Lafayette. The woman remembers putting her purse on the back of her chair and confirming that her wallet was in the purse.

While eating, the woman’s chair was jostled by an unknown person seated at the table behind her. After finishing her meal, she went to get her purse and noticed it felt light. She then discovered that her wallet was missing.

She notified the restaurant and reported the theft to the Lafayette Police Department.

Between the time of her arrival at the restaurant and when she left, the woman’s credit card was used at a local bank for a $ 2,000 cash advance. It was also used at several retailers.

These photos were captured at a retailer showing an unknown female, who made a purchase with a credit card belonging to the woman.

Detectives are looking for help in identifying the person in the photographs.
