Dominant Campolindo Wins Seventh Straight Regional Academic Decathlon Championship
The team was named champions at an awards ceremony Wednesday night.
LAMORINDA, CA — There may be extra swagger in the steps of Campolindo High School's Academic Decathlon team members today. At an Awards Reception Wednesday night, they were crowned the 2017 East County Regional Academic Decathlon champs for the seventh straight year.
They now move on to the California State Academic Decathlon competition, to be held in Sacramento, March 24-25. This year’s National Academic Decathlon will be held in Madison, Wisconsin, April 20-22.
Approximately, 100 participating high school students have been studying and preparing for this regional event with their coaches since September. This year’s Academic Decathlon theme was World War II.

Subjects in the competition include art, economics, literature, mathematics, music, science, social science, essay, interview, and speech.
