Driver Shot In The Head In Caldecott Tunnel Sunday Night
The tunnel was closed for hours as the CHP investigated the shooting.

LAMORINDA, CA — A driver was shot in the head inside the fourth bore of the Caldecott Tunnel Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. The victim suffered "non-lethal injuries" and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The CHP initially said that a passenger in the car was not hit, but on Monday clarified that the person suffered "graze" wounds that did not require hospitalization.
The Fourth bore, carrying two westbound lanes of state Highway 24, was shut down for hours as the CHP investigated the shooting.
No arrests have been made.

The CHP says the shooter was believed to be in a white vehicle.
The shooting took place about 7:50 p.m. and the bore was reopened around 10:45.
