Fire In Empty Classroom Brings Firefighters To Moraga High School

MORAGA - Crews responded to a small fire inside an unoccupied classroom Wednesday morning at a Moraga high school, Moraga-Orinda Fire District Chief Stephen Healy said.

Two fire engines responded at 9:42 a.m. to a fire alarm at Campolindo High School at 300 Moraga Road, Healy said.

Responding crews discovered there was a fire involving a microwave in an unoccupied classroom. The flames had been contained by some of the school's janitors, Healy said.

There were no injuries reported. Firefighters ventilated smoke out of the classroom, Healy said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
