Fremont's Keimach Tapped as Moraga's Town Manager

Ending months of , it appears the Moraga Town Council is set to name Jill Keimach as its new town manager - replacing outgoing manager Mike Segrest.

A formal announcement is expected at this week's council meeting, but Keimach's name has been floated as the candidate of choice. She would come to Moraga from Fremont, where she has been serving as that city's community development director.

If approved, Keimach will be the latest in a string of four town managers to hold the position since 2008. Current Town Manager Mike Segrest caused a stir when he announced in May that he was looking for work elsewhere, a move forced on him, he said, by his wife's ill health.

If approved as expected at Wednesday's town council meeting, Keimach will start work Nov. 1.
