Highway 24 In Lamorinda Reopens
It had been closed because of a threat of exploding ammunition.

LAMORINDA, CA — Lafayette Police advise that Highway 24 near the St. Stephens exit has reopened and traffic is again flowing. Traffic was backed up for miles during the closure, so it will take some time to completely clear.
This issue: a California Highway Patrol vehicle was on fire, and there was a threat that the ammunition would explode because of the heat.
The cause of the fire is not readily available at this time.
