Home, Two Vehicles Burglarized in Lafayette
In all three burglaries, the suspects entered through unlocked doors.

LAFAYETTE, CA — Lafayette Police are investigating one home and two vehicle burglaries that occurred this week. In each instance, the thieves made entry through unlocked doors.
The home burglary took place in the 3300 block of Woodview Drive. The thieves got away with jewelry, according to the homeowners. They had left home Monday morning and returned late Tuesday night. The homeowners realized that someone had been in their home but straightened up before calling police. According to a written statement from police, "An examination of the home by our CSI personnel revealed the suspects likely made entry to the home through the unlocked door, but due to the cleaning done by the resident, little physical evidence was retrieved from the home."
The homeowners left a sliding glass door unlocked.

Police believe the home burglary may be related to thefts from two unlocked vehicles that happened between 6 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. Both vehicles were parked in the 3200 Block of Woodview. Electronics, loose change and a spare house key were stolen from one vehicle, while thieves only got away with loose change from the other.
In addition to those burglaries, police are investigating a case of three suspicious subjects on Walnut Lane. On Tuesday, a resident reported seeing them near a neighbor's home. Police report, "The three subjects appeared to be out of place and walked to the rear yard of the home, they suddenly left the area. There was no one at the neighbor's home at the time of the incident. This neighbor described the three males as leaving in a silver/blue Oldsmobile."
