Lafayette Police Need Your Help Catching Burglars
Police are asking residents to check home surveillance videos for the suspects or their vehicle.

LAFAYETTE, CA — Lafayette Police are hoping that local residents can help them catch two burglars. They're also asking for the public's help in supplying home surveillance video.
The suspects broke into a home on Tuesday just after 11 a.m. and left 11 minutes later, according to the home's surveillance video. During that time, they stole electronics and jewelry, according to police.
Just an hour later the homeowner returned home and found their rear patio door glass broken. Police searched the home and found no suspects. According to police, "The home had been extensively searched and ransacked by the suspect(s)."

As the homeowner accessed photos from the surveillance video, "The home was processed by our CSI personnel," according to police, "who collected additional items of evidence. The video recording was helpful in assisting them in locating evidence from within the home."
A neighborhood search turned up no sign of the suspects.

Police provided these descriptions:
- African-American Male, 18-24 Yrs., 6'0, 180 lbs.
- African-American Male, 18-24 Yrs., 5'10, 160 lbs.
The burglary took place in the 1000 block of Leland Drive. Anyone living in the vicinity who has a surveillance camera is asked to check for images of the getaway car or the suspects.
