Lafayette Police Release Bank Robbery Photos

Breaking: Can you identify this man? He robbed a bank in Lafayette on Tuesday.

LAFAYETTE, CA — Lafayette Police are seeking tips about the man who robbed a US Bank branch on Mt. Diablo Boulevard Tuesday afternoon. No one was injured in the robbery.

Two surveillance photos of the suspect have been released. The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5'8, medium build, with a salt and pepper goatee

Officers from throughout Lamorinda responded to the bank and the surrounding area. They created a perimeter to contain the suspect who was last reported to be running east-bound on Mt. Diablo Boulevard. A canine from the Sheriff's Office as well as the Sheriff's Office Helicopter (STARR3) joined the search but the suspect escaped.

No weapons were seen during the robbery. Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) were able to collect several items of evidence from the bank.
